Founded in 1982 in Quepos, Costa Rica, Martec is one of the largest marine fish processing and mariculture companies of Central America.
Business Units
Wild Catch
We process and market a wide variety of wild caught fish, both locally and internationally. We source only from line fisheries, with high degree of species selectivity emphasizing on mature catch.
Mariculture
We are pioneers in farmed Spotted Rose Snapper (Lutjanus gutattus). Our aquaculture division is BAP 4-star certified and vertically integrated from hatchery to processing facility.
Retail
We operate 4 stores in Costa Rica, which are located in Pinares, Escazú, Jacó and Quepos. We offer the best quality seafood, both fresh and frozen to customers throughout Costa RicaSustainability
